During the session, the representatives of the Member States and the National Commissions and the Director-General discuss the preparation of the Medium-Term Strategy for 2014-2021 (37 C/4) and the Programme and Budget for 2014-2017 (37 C/5), following the Director-General’s Circular Letter (CL/3992) and the two questionnaires on the documents 37 C/4 and 37 C/5 antecedently provided to the Ministers of Asian and Pacific countries responsible for relations with UNESCO.


The main topics of the meeting are as follows:

- Ceremony of the Celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the Vietnamian National Commission for UNESCO
- Sub-regional consultations on the objectives, priorities and actions of the 37 C/4 and the 37 C/5
- Plenary discussion on UNESCO's cooperation with National Commissions and on the strategy for partnership with civil society
- Examination and adoption of the Consultation Report
