Award ceremony for UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences

UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova will present the UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences award to three scientists during a ceremony to be held at the Organization’s Headquarters in Paris on Tuesday 17 July.
The purpose of UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences is to reward the projects and activities of an individual, individuals, institutions, other entities or non-governmental organizations for scientific research in the life sciences leading to improving the quality of human life.
The prizewinner(s), having made a significant research contribution to the life sciences are recommended to the Director-General of UNESCO by an international jury.
The award ceremony will be held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on Tuesday 17 July 2012.
