The Montevideo UNESCO Office will carry out a workshop for capacity building in the implementation of the 2003 Convention on the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the countries of the region. The workshop will cover topics going from basic concepts of the Convention to the challenges for its implementation on the national level.
It will count with the participation of renowned experts, such as Francisco López Morales and Mónica Lacarrieu. In the audience, there will be delegations from several Argentinean provinces, Uruguay and the Museo del Barro of Paraguay.

This project will be financed by the Japanese Funds-in-Trust for the Preservation and Promotion of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
