Consultative meeting on the state of media in Uganda

The University of Makerere is organizing a one day consultative meeting on the state of media in Ouganda. This event is taking place in preparation of a round table on media development in the country.
Within the framework of UNESCO’s contribution towards strengthened free, independent and pluralistic media and the efforts to develop plurality and diversity of the media through the International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC), an assessment of the media landscape in Uganda will be carried out using the UNESCO media development indicators.
