International Basic Sciences Programme: Eighth meeting of the Scientific Board

IBSP is an international multidisciplinary programme managed and strengthens by its International Scientific Board which is gathering this week at UNESCO Headquarters from 29 to 30 November 2012. The principal goals of the IBSP are building capacities in science and the transfer and sharing of scientific information and excellence in science through North-South and South-South cooperation.
This Programme was established by UNESCO Member States in order to reinforce intergovernmental cooperation and co-operation between partner organizations in science. The International Scientific Board, set up by the Director-General of UNESCO, is designed to promote capacity building in basic sciences and science education.
