Panel discussion on Higher Education for Sustainable Development.
UNESCO Chairs in Education for Sustainable Development from Costa Rica, Germany and Sweden will discuss the outcomes and follow-up of the recent UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) regarding ESD and higher education. They will share good ESD practices and particularly focus on the question how universities as a whole institution can contribute to promoting sustainable development. Panellists will also discuss the contribution of higher education to the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development until 2014 and beyond.
