6th UNESCO-Kumamoto University Roundtable 2012 “Bioethics: From Theory to Practice”
The roundtable will bring together around 50 scholars and policy makers from many disciplines all around the world to discuss and deliberate on bioethics, in particular the impact of Asian bioethics upon life, society, environment, states and the international system.
Discussions will focus on
- Bioethics: From Theory to Practice
- Translating Theoretical Bioethics into Practical Bioethics for the Public
- Medical Ethics
- Ethics of Assisted Reproductive Technology
- Applying Ethics to Public Controversies, including Fukushima
- Environmental Ethics
Paper presentations and participation from academics, scholars, policy makers, and students in various disciplines are welcomed.
