International musicians and artists will gather at the UNESCO House to mark the launch of the project "Cultures beyond borders".
This project, created at the initiative of the Solomon Mikhoels International Cultural Centre in Moscow and under the auspices of UNESCO, aims to promote and foster intercultural dialogue through the creation of an artistic program and the organization of a serie of concerts until February 2014, date of the 25th anniversary of the Cultural Centre.
Masterpieces of classical music, choreography and songs drawn from an international repertoire, but also original creations, will be interpreted by a selection of artists in more than a dozen of countries - from Europe to America north through Israel.

Some of the artists participating in this first concert in Paris: the Soloists of Russia Orchestra, conductor Misha Katz (France), alto Mikhail Kugel (Belgium), violinists Liana Isakadze (Georgia, Germany) and Ivan Zhenaty (Czech Republic), clarinetist Julian Milkis (Canada), saxophonist Igor Butman (Russia, USA), cellist Boris Baras (France).
Special guests: the Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko and the French singer Mireille Mathieu.
