The Third Regional Conference of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries with international participation "Cultural Policy and Policy for Culture"

The Conference intends to elaborate relevant recommendations for the updating cultural policies, taking into account the UNESCO standard-setting instruments and an integrated approach to cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and sustainable development, while reinforcing institutional, including legislative capacities and those of policy-makers and culture professionals with a view to developing the arts education and integrating culture into all other development policies.
The Conference intends to elaborate relevant recommendations for the updating cultural policies, taking into account the UNESCO standard-setting instruments and an integrated approach to cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and sustainable development, while reinforcing institutional, including legislative capacities and those of policy-makers and culture professionals with a view to developing the arts education and integrating culture into all other development policies.

The Third Regional Conference will focus on mainstreaming within national policies the links between culture and development with consideration of the UNESCO World Conferences on Arts Education (Lisbon, 201006 and Seoul, 2010), in particular promoting the results of these conferences “Road Map of Arts Education” and “Seoul Agenda: Goals for the Development of Arts Education” and contribution of arts education and creative capacities to sustainable development and reinforcing national capacities for the effective implementation of the 2005 Convention.
