Expert Group Meeting on "Leaving No One Behind: Reaching the Most Marginalized in Selected Countries in the Arab Region"

The expert group meeting on “Leaving No One Behind: Reaching the Most Marginalized in Selected Countries in the Arab Region” is the result of a collaborative effort involving UNESCO, UN-ESCWA and the Centre for Lebanese Studies at the Lebanese American University (LAU). It aims to reflect the root cases of marginalization and social exclusion in the Arab region.

The expert meeting will gather experts representing academic centers, think tanks, research institutions, UN agencies and civil society organizations working on the social, economic and political dimensions of marginalization and social exclusion.

The second day will focus on peer-review of UN-ESCWA’s third Social Development Report (SDR-3) entitled “Leaving No One Behind: Reaching the Most Marginalized in Selected Countries in the Arab Region” and feedback on the structure, methodology and principal findings of the report.
