Impact of Public-Private Partnerships in Education: An Evidence-Based Approach
As the EFA global coordinating agency, UNESCO aims to strengthen the dialogue and foster enhanced collaboration between all education stakeholders. Based on the experience of the Partnerships for Education (PfE) initiative with the World Economic Forum, UNESCO is broadening the range of private sector partners and increasing the knowledge base on public-private partnerships in order to better inform cooperation on the ground.
To provide a platform for discussion on ways to further strengthen the public private partnerships , UNESCO, UNOP and the IDP Foundation are organizing a panel discussion entitled “Impact of Public-Private Partnerships in Education: Building Evidence”.
The event is following up on the recommendations of the 2011 ECOSOC Ministerial Declaration on Education. It will also contribute to and enrich the discussions of the 2012 ECOSOC Coordination Segment.
