Pre-Conference of the Americas and the Caribbean to the World Youth Conference 2010

This conference is a World Youth Conference 2010 preparatory meeting. Besides approving the Salvador Charter with recommendation to the World Youth Conference 2010, its objective is to provide an exchange of information between governments, social organizations, and parliamentarians on Youth questions. The event also intends to evaluate at regional level the advancements related to the UN Millennium Development Goals.
The Preparatory Conference is an initiative organized by the National Youth Secretariat and UNESCO, in partnership with UN agencies in Brazil -UNFPA, UNDP, YIO -, the Youth International Organization, INJUVE, the Mexican Youth Institute, the Brazilian Ministries of External Relations, of Education, of Social Development, and of Environment, SEPPIR, the Secretariat of Women’s Policies, Bahia State Government, the Political Articulation of Black Youth, CONJUVE, the Mexican Embassy in Brazil, IIDAC, and Option Brazil. It will be a privileged institutional space for the exchange of ideas and proposals, by both government and civil society organizations.
