Central Asian young TV producers training in professional TV production materials on HIV and AIDS

UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office organizes a five-day TV production training on HIV and AIDS for producers of national TV broadcasting organizations and networks from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The training aims to support the Central Asian young TV producers network by increasing the capacity for investigative journalism in the field of HIV and AIDS.
The training will be carried out in and with the financial participation of the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research (KIMEP) and will result in:

- the production of a serie of nine 5-10 minutes TV programmes in reporting on reducing sexual transmission of HIV issues

- increase accurate and non-labelling content;

- reduce denial, discrimination and stigmatization;

- and increase preventive understanding and acceptance of care, treatment and support for the most-at-risk population (MARP), notably women, children, migrants, and people living with HIV (PLWHIV).

Special focus will be given to female injecting drug users, sexual workers and sexual partners participation and leadership within scripts preparation for behaviour change.
