Visual Seminar "Echale un ojo a Frida"

In the context of the week of gastronomic heritage in Costa Rica from 14 to 19 July 2016, the UNESCO office in San José is organizing the visual seminar "Echale un ojo a Frida", led by Ms Margarita Valero, Mexican visual artist, about the life and work of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, 61 years after her death. The talk will take place on 5 July 2016 at the offices of UNESCO San José.
This seminar will consist in the story of the life and work of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. Ms Margarita Valero will tell Frida Kahlo’s story through 286 high resolution slides without text. She will try to bring to the public - from her personal point of view, and outside her native Mexico - a warmer, more human and more accessible vision of the famous Mexican painter, who died on 13 July, 61 years ago.
This conference was presented four times in Costa Rica between July 2015 and May 2016: at the Institute of Mexico in Costa Rica, the Costa Rican Art Museum, Campo Verde and the National Gallery.
