In order to educate South Sudanese youth on the process of building a peaceful nation and encourage the culture of peaceful co-existence, UNESCO in partnership with UNDP and Design Transform is organizing a boot camp for 15 students from University of Juba from 12- 16 July 2016 at UNESCO Office in Juba.


The boot camp will focus on developing a mobile application that aims at promoting the culture of peace by giving an overview of the South Sudan’s peace initiative and educating the users about peace building process and encourage users to take a stand for peace building by making personal commitments. The mobile application which will be launched on 16th July 2016 is expected to give hope to South Sudanese by outlining the benefits of sharing peace and reconciliation messages.

This activity is within the framework of Youth mobile project, an initiative by UNESCO and its partners striving to provide young people with high-level skills and confidence to develop, promote, and sell locally relevant mobile apps that solve issues of sustainable development and provide employment.
