Policy Forum for Asia and the Pacific: Fostering Government Support for OER Internationally

It is the fifth in a series of regional policy forums on OER to be held in all UNESCO regions in the run-up to the World OER Congress (Paris, June 2012).
All countries of Asia and the Pacific will be invited to the Forum through their Permanent Delegations to UNESCO
In order to raise global awareness for the 2012 World Open Educational Resources (OER) Congress, UNESCO in cooperation with the Commonwealth of learning is holding a number of regional policy forums on OER around the world. The objectives of the forums are to:
- intensify dialogue with Governments on OER;
- showcase local OER policies, experts and initiatives; and
- contribute to the drafting of the Paris Declaration.
