European Meeting for Improvement of Tourism and Visitor Management Skills

The goal of this meeting is to improve the state of conservation of World Heritage sites by enhancing the quality of tourism and visitors management tools for the improvement of overall management skills.
The aim of the workshop is to develop and strengthen capacities and skills in tourism management at the sub-regional level to safeguard and improve the state of conservation of cultural and natural sites inscribed on the World Heritage List, and the sites on the Tentative List in Central and South-Eastern Europe and its surroundings.

The workshop focuses on capacity-building in ways tourism can contribute to the management and conservation of cultural and natural properties. Partnerships with the tourism industry for this purpose is explored.

The workshop concludes with a feedback session providing participants the opportunity to exchange knowledge and best practices experience. This workshop is part of a series of workshops organized by the UNESCO World Heritage Centre to generate common tourism policies and methods that is used to guide tourism intervention at World Heritage sites.
