Lyrical Abstraction in Bandeira’s Paintings

This exhibition aims to depict an overall view of the works of painter Antonio Bandeira, forerunner of lyrical abstraction in Brazil.
40 paintings and documents of the period – letters, pictures and press articles will showcase the influence of the Parisian artistic and cultural context in his work.
The exhibition has been organized by Commissioner Vera Novis and designed by Expomus (São Paulo) with the support of the Brazil Ministry of Culture.
