60 minutes to convince: "The Struggle against Racism and Discrimination: The Role of Cities"

The International Coalition of Cities against Racism, launched by UNESCO in 2004, offers a unique opportunity for cities to share experiences in order to improve their public anti-discrimination policies. The representatives of the European Coalition of Cities against Racism (ECCAR) and the Canadian Coalition of Municipalities against Racism and Discrimination (CCMARD) will present their respective networks and share experiences in this regard.
The speakers will be:
- Marcello Scarone Azzi, Chief a.i., Struggle against Racism and Discrimination Section, UNESCO;
- Jean-Paul Makengo, Deputy Mayor of Toulouse and Vice-President of the European Coalition of Cities against Racism (ECCAR);
- H.E. Mr. André Bachand, Ambassador of Canada to UNESCO
