Traditional Japanese Drum Band Namahage Sato Kagura hails from the Tohoku region in northern Japan. "Namahage", which means demon, refers to a ritual used to ward off evil spirits. This unique folk tradition is typical in the region. Created in 2002 by Yoshitaka Kobayaschi, the band has been on several performance tours in Asia.
