"Grenzgenial" is a network project involving many partners of the ScienceCenter-Network, approaching the topic of borders and boundaries with a multitude of science center activities throughout Austria. Starting with an event and an invitation for the public to contribute their ideas on research on borders, the project will lead to flexible modules, temporary and permanent zones, each inviting to experience a different aspect of the topic.16 interactive exhibits focus on borders and boundaries in the sciences. "Grenzgenial" runs from November 11 until December 15 and offers also a programme for kinder garden kids ("Science in a Backpack"-Workshops) in Klagenfurt. The Alpen-Adria-University Klagenfurt shows their exhibition project "GrenzCheck" (borders check). The Partners energie:autark in Kötschach-Mauthen presents "Move on" a game focussing on mobility, and the Science Center EXPI provides special exhibits under this topic.

The aim of the ScienceCenter-Network is enabling to directly experience and comprehend science.
