Launch of the 3rd Season of Sa'a Surryia Radio Project
Considering the high number of vulnerable Syrian women and youth in Jordan with limited access to information and the absence of a communication platform for these groups, and the lack of proper information dissemination about humanitarian services in Jordan, UNESCO Office in Amman, implements a project targeting the above mentioned groups in Irbid, Mafraq, Zarqa and Amman governorates. The project is aimed at disseminating lifesaving information about available services, and providing counselling through a radio programme called Sa'a Suryia (the Syrian Hour) on Yarmouk FM and Farah al Nas Radio.
The third season (8.5 of programming) has started in January 2014, with a training on humanitarian reporting and radio techniques to start in February, followed by the airing of the programmes on Farah Al Nas radio and Yarmouk FM in the same month.
