Workshop on the Implementation of the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (2003)

The Workshop will be destined to train a group of specialists and bearers from the Eastern Provinces and the Province of Camaguey in how to implement the 2003 Convention. Its facilitators will be two experts from Colombia (Adriana Molano) and from Mexico (Francisco Lopez Morales).
This workshop is organised within the framework of the programme Strengthening national capacities for effective safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage in Cuba, in the Dominican Republic and in Haiti funded by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Fund thanks to the generous contributions of the Kingdom of Norway.

The 4 day Workshop has a programme on the topics of the Convention, its key concepts, on how to inventory and will include a technical visit to the previous Oral and Intangible Masterpiece “La tumba francesa de la Caridad de Oriente”, included in 2008 on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (originally proclaimed in 2003).
