Sub-regional training workshop on the fight against illicit trafficking of cultural property in the Andean region/Central America

This workshop is a follow-up to the training held in Lima from 22 to 25 October 2012 to reinforce capacities and raise awareness on the fight against the illicit trafficking of cultural property.
The workshop will focus on advances in national legislation on the protection of cultural property, the preparedness and preventive action and emergency response of police forces in the event of illicit trafficking, the use of tools for the protection of cultural property and the development of systems of cooperation between the different institutions for the protection of cultural heritage.

Each participating country sends 2 to 3 representatives, coming from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.

Parallel to this training, an awareness-raising programme is developed in partnership with local authorities.

This event is financially supported by the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID).
