On the occasion of the General Conference, as host country and host cities, representatives of the Japanese government, the Governor of Aichi Prefecture, and the Mayor of Okayama will be present at UNESCO to showcase their achievements in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and to inform us on the venue of the World Conference.

This is a precious opportunity to see and feel what ESD means. Please stop by, and share your views on ESD.
To mark the end of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (DESD, 2005-2014), for which UNESCO is the lead-agency, UNESCO and the Government of Japan will co-organize the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development in November 2014 in Aichi-Nagoya, preceded by a set of stakeholder meetings in Okayama, Japan. Both events aim at celebrating a Decade of action and setting the agenda for ESD beyond 2014.
