Official presentation of the UNESCO publication 'The Foundations of Islam'


The official presentation of The Foundations of Islam (Volume I), of the UNESCO collection The Different Aspects of Islamic Culture will take place with the participation of the Director-General and renowned academics and officials associated with the Islamic world.
The Different Aspects of Islamic Culture is a collection of six thematic volumes that aims to present to the widest possible readership the multiple facets of this living culture, namely the basic concepts and the pillars of the faith, the status of the individual and society, an account of the spread of Islam around the world, the fundamental contribution of Islam to education, science and technology, and the cultural achievements of Islamic civilization, through literature, philosophy, art and architecture. The collection also examines Islam in the contemporary world with its tremendous opportunities and challenges.

The Foundations of Islam (Volume I) is the fifth thematic volume to be published to date in the collection. The result of a rigorous critical study of all significant sources, this new publication explores the fundamental aspects of Islam.
