VIIth International Congress of Redbioética UNESCO


The VIIth International Congress of Redbioética UNESCO will be held in Brasilia, Brazil, from 8 to 10 November 2018.

At the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the theme of the Congress will be "Bioethics against the violation of human rights"

More than 300 people, including representatives of at least 20 countries, are expected to attend.

This edition is organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Bioethics-Redbioética-UNESCO and the Regional Programme on Bioethics and Ethics of Science of UNESCO for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO Office in Montevideo) in cooperation with the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics of the University of Brazil, its Postgraduate Program in Bioethics, the Brazilian Society of Bioethics and various renowned institutions.

The International Congress of Redbioética UNESCO is one the most important academic events in the region in the field of bioethics and ethics of science and technology. It is held every two years with the participation of experts and academics from Latin America and Caribbean, and proposes for each edition an extensive program on topical bioethics issues.
