The European Athletics-UNESCO Young Leaders Forum aims to promote youth leadership and civic engagement through the development of community projects linked to the sport of athletics.

It will be held on the occasion of the 21st European Athletics Championships (Helsinki, 27 June-1st July).
The event will bring together approximately 80 participants, aged 18 to 26, in plenary sessions and discussion workshops.

The plenary sessions will feature inspirational guest speakers and presentations from young leaders who have already launched successful projects in their communities.

Building on this, the workshops are designed to share practical information with participants on project design and implementation as well as to encourage the sharing of good practice examples and engaging their peers in the challenge.

The Forum is supported by an online platform, launched in 2010, which now has more than 1,100 members, 141 partners and 63 live projects.
