The Approval Committee is in charge of the allocation of the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport.
The Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport was set forth in Article 17 of the International Convention against Doping in Sport.
The primary purpose of the Fund is to help States Parties to meet their obligations under the Convention, and in particular to develop and implement anti-doping programmes in accordance with the Convention.
Six States Parties (France, the Russian Federation, Barbados, New Zealand, Côte d'Ivoire and Kuwait) were elected by the Conference of Parties last November to the Approval Committee to determine all the applications made to the Fund. A series of anti-doping projects submitted for funding will be examined by the Committee at this meeting.
