“Philosophy: The Greatest of All Journeys” – A “New Acropolis” Seminar Supported by UNESCO New Delhi
This seminar, organized by “New Acropolis”, an Indian non-profit organization, in the framework of World Philosophy Day 2012, aims at re-introducing philosophy as an integral approach of one’s life.
Supported by the UNESCO Office in New Delhi, the seminar, also entitled “Embark on the Voyage of a Lifetime - Discover Yourself”, will start with a presentation by Mr Yaron Barzilay, National Director of “New Acropolis”, on creating awareness around the possibility of a life guided by the innate human ability to live in harmony with each other and with nature, in contrast to a life which is motivated by materialism or the ego.
This interactive session, gathering 200 participants, aims at re-introducing philosophy as an integral approach with which one lives his/her life. Thus, its objective is to foster and encourage free thought: free from pressures of custom, social norm, or economic privilege.
It will further offer a platform for potential philosophers and seekers, through which they can begin their own journey of experimentation with universal human truths, free of superficial limitations of religion, culture, language, history and related fields.
