Second meeting of the open-ended tripartite working group on the follow-up to the review of the cooperation of UNESCO’s Secretariat with National Commissions for UNESCO

Tthe open-ended tripartite working group, composed of representatives of the Permanent Delegations, National Commissions and UNESCO Secretariat, was established by the Executive Board. The 2nd meeting of this group will focus mainly on developing an Action Plan for the implementation of recommendations to be submitted to the Executive Board for consideration at its 191st session in April 2013.
Following the Executive Board's decisions (189 EX/16 et 190 EX/37), the initial meeting of the open-ended tripartite working group took place on 19 October 2012 at UNESCO Headquarters. As agreed upon at this initial meeting, an electronic forum (e-Forum), organized into 6 sequential discussion modules, each devoted to one of the recommendations made by IOS in its final report was launched as a workspace to collect proposals on the Action Plan.
