UNESCO Medal on Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies
A group of six laureates will receive the UNESCO Medal "For contributions to the development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies" from the UNESCO Director-General at UNESCO headquarters on 11 October.
This medal was established at the initiative of the International Commission responsible for developing the Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems (EOLSS) theme on nanoscience and nanotechnologies, with support from the Permanent Delegation of the Russian Federation to UNESCO. The medal is in recognition of significant contributions to the development of nanosciences and nanotechnologies.
