Working together with the programme sectors, Member States and public or private partners the Special Events Section organizes, each month, cultural events (shows, concerts, exhibitions, prize-giving ceremony, cinema screenings, etc.) at the UNESCO House.

15th Annual L’Oréal-UNESCO Awards For Women In Science

Each year, five outstanding women scientists – one per continent – are honoured for the contributions of their research, the strength of their commitments and their impact on society.
The five exceptional women scientists from around the world will receive the 2013 L’ORÉAL-UNESCO Awards in Physical Sciences. The Awards Ceremony will take place on 28 March 2013 at the Sorbonne University (Paris).
