The two-day Symposium was the core of Mobile Learning Week. It convened over 700 people from more than 350 organizations and 60 countries.

At the event government representatives, education specialists, mobile learning experts, project managers, researchers and industry partners shared strategies to expand access to education and improve learning through the use of information and communication technologies.

The Symposium featured plenary addresses from government leaders and refugee learners and hosted 76 breakout presentations delivered by experts working at the intersection of technology and education.

Overall, the Symposium explained innovations that leverage mobile technology to improve the learning opportunities for vulnerable children and adults, especially those who have been displaced, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda.

Descriptions of the breakout presentations that were delivered during the Symposium are below. They are organized according to the event programme.
