UNESCO is carrying out research into mobile learning and Education For All (EFA) in five regions (Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and Africa).

The research informs the development of appropriate policy guidelines but also includes awareness-raising and advocacy on the value of mobile learning among policymakers in developing countries.

In addition, with the support of the US Department of State, UNESCO is investigating what potential mobile learning holds for women and young girls, particularly in these five regions.
