He heads Finance & Administration. He joined his new assignment effective February 2011 and has a Masters in Business Administration with emphasis on Project Management and Bachelors in Economics. He brings with him 30 years of professional work experience, 18 years with UNESCO. He played a key role in the establishment of UNESCO Office Islamabad when it shifted from an independent office to the UN Common House, where he worked from 1993 to 2003. He has extensively worked on the One UN Programme in Pakistan and Iran. He chaired various Task Forces which were part of the Operations Management Team reporting to the SMT. He was transferred to UNESCO Tehran Cluster Office in 2003, with as main responsibility the establishment of the office from scratch, as it was re-opened after closure for a number of years.
