Mohammad Taufiq

Finance & Administrative Officer. Chief of unit 

Mohammad heads Finance & Administration. He joined his new assignment with this Bureau, effective February 2011, to be part of the Management Team. He has a Master's in Business Administration with emphasis on Project Management and Bachelors in Economics. He brings with him 35 years of professional work experience, 23 years of which with UNESCO. He played a key role in the establishment of UNESCO Office in Islamabad when it shifted from an independent office premises to the UN Common House, where he worked from 1993 to 2003. For his next assignment he was transferred to UNESCO Tehran Cluster Office in 2003, with the main task of establishing the office from scratch, as it was re-opened after closure for a number of years. He has extensively worked on the One UN Programme in Pakistan and Iran. He chaired various Task Forces which were part of the Operations Management Team reporting to the Senior Management Team. During the past five and a half years with the Bureau, Mohammad has ensured its smooth operation and provided support to the Director of the Bureau and Heads of Programme Units, ensuring flowing and effective running and management. This role is pivotal in the administration of the resources decentralized to the Bureau.

Benedetta Colasanti

Administrative Assistant

Benedetta has a Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Economics of International Trade and Law from Padua University. Initially, she worked in a chartered accountants firm. She undertook a UNESCO internship in 2000 with the Bureau. In 2001, she was integrated in the Finance & Administration Unit. Since then, she has been performing a variety of specialized tasks in finance, accounting, monitoring and reporting. Since 2014, she has been given the additional tasks of management of European Union projects. Benedetta further enhanced her qualifications when she obtained a Master’s in European Project Management in 2014-2015 and a Certificate in European Project Reporting. This has further deepened her dealing skills in this area.

Claudio Vincenzi

Administrative Assistant

Claudio has a Degree in Economic Science with a specialization in Business Administration and Operational Research. He joined the Bureau in 2005.He is the focal point for all travel-related work and issues. His other tasks are to coordinate, organize and supervise the general functioning of Bureau’s premises managing the services for the building’s maintenance and functioning.

Gianni Torre

Systems Administrator

Gianni is the Systems Administrator of the Bureau’s IT set up. His expertise is in server/client Microsoft operating systems and in the management of networks and information/communication devices. He joined the Bureau in 2008 and is part of the Finance and Administration.
