2012 edition of The Best in Heritage

Twenty five awarded museum, heritage and conservation projects will be presented at the 11th edition of "The Best in Heritage" conference, World annual survey of awarded museum, heritage and conservation projects, to be organised in partnership with Europa Nostra in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from 27-29 September 2012.

Organized annually in partnership with Europa Nostra, the event serves to identify and promote the best museum, heritage and conservation projects in the world, and brings together museum and heritage professionals, institutions and professionals from a broad range of practice and interest in the field of heritage. The conference will present awarded, new or renewed institutions worldwide and a great number of exceptional projects hardly known to the international professional public.

The conference will offer a unique chance to see, hear, and meet representatives of professional excellence and gain insights into innovative contemporary practice. Over three days, projects from 20 countries will be featured in the programme. The presentations span from Pacific region, through Asia and Europe to North America and will provide an insight into most successful present day practices. Laureates of the European Museum Forum, the European Museum Academy, the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards and the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards, amongst many others, will present their success stories.
