Bridging Science, Water Management and Practical Experiences in European River Basins - Common System Understanding for Risk-Based Management of River Basins
UNESCOVENICE news () : UNESCO supported the 2nd General Assembly of RISKBASE and 2nd Thematic Workshop “Bridging Science, Water Management and Practical Experiences in European River Basins - Common System Understanding for Risk-Based Management of River Basins” held in Budapest, Hungary, 15-17 May, 2008.
The conference was attended by approx. 60 participants from Europe (with participants from SEE specifically supported by BRESCE), and 28 papers were submitted for the presentations that were held during the event. The conference was accompanied by poster presentations with an award of the best poster, and on the 17th of May a study tour was organized, which offered the possibility to visit two flood protection cases at Danube river in Szentendre and Visegrád.
