Experts from South-Eastern Europe met on the transmission of intangible cultural heritage

The Third Regional Seminar of Experts from South-Eastern Europe on the transmission of intangible cultural heritage was held in Zagreb from 22-27 April 2009  thank to the support of the UNESCO Office in Venice to the organisation of these annual seminars, the host country, Croatia, and to the Croatian Ministry of Culture.

This meeting, which follows previous seminars in Arbanassi, Bulgaria (2007) and in Safranbolu, Turkey (2008), represented an important further step in the safeguarding of the rich and diverse Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of this region, as a powerful factor for reconciliation, dialogue, and mutual understanding among peoples.

The network of experts on intangible heritage from South-Eastern European (SEE) has experienced in the course of its common works a considerable development.
