Photographic Exhibition on Cultural Heritage: a Bridge towards a Shared Future
On 23 April 2010, as a side event of the Sixth Ministerial Conference on Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe, the UNESCO Venice Office organised a photographic exhibition at the Atelier Dado, in Cetinje (Montenegro), intended to present the activities realised in the period 2005-2010 within the project “Cultural Heritage: a Bridge towards a Shared Future”.
UNESCOVENICE news (Montenegro) 23/06/2010 : The project, financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Cooperazione Italiana, represents the main operational follow-up to the annual Ministerial Conferences on Cultural Heritage in SEE. The activities realised within the project were aimed at supporting the protection and promotion of remarkable aspects of the region’s shared cultural heritage, and to strengthen the capacities of relevant cultural and scientific institutions.
All activities were defined and implemented in close collaboration with the Ministries of Culture of the 9 partner countries (Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, and Serbia), who also contributed to their co-financing as a further evidence of the virtuous cooperation generated by the project.
The exhibition was opened by the Minister of Culture of Montenegro, and by the representatives of the Italian government. All members of the official delegations participating in the Ministerial Conference attended the inauguration ceremony, which was also covered by local and regional news media.
