Prevention of Illicit Traffic of Cultural Properties and other Illegal Actions. Ohrid (FYR Macedonia) 15-18 March 2006
The objective of this workshop on Prevention of Illicit Traffic of Cultural Properties and other Illegal Actions to be held in Ohrid (FYR Macedonia) will be to raise awareness of the concerned services (notably police, customs and other cultural institutions), as well as to present the best practices in the country and the other countries in the region, thus supporting the process of the ratification of the UNESCO and UNIDROIT conventions against Illicit Trafficking in Cultural Property.
The workshop will include the participation of representatives from the region including the following countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, UNIDROIT, Comando Carabinieri Tutela Patrimonio Culturale and experts, as well as local field experts (police and customs services). Each expert-representative of the participating countries will present the current state of art and future strategy on the suggested topics.
SCHEDULE & VENUE
The workshop will take place in Hotel “Metropol”, Ohrid, R. Macedonia from March 15 to 18, 2006. The working part of the Workshop will take two days (March 16-17, 2006).
