The H2Ooooh! Initiative is travelling across the world
Over the recent weeks, the UNESCO Venice Office has been actively promoting this scientific and creative learning experience for schoolchildren on an international level. The aim is to reach as many schools as possible around the world and invite them to participate in the H2Ooooh! Initiative.
The H2Ooooh! Initiative was presented on the occasion of the UNESCO IHP Session at “Sustaining the Blue Planet: Global Water Education Conference” in Bozeman, Montana, USA, on Friday 16 September 2011. Interesting contacts have been established with potential partners from various parts of the world: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Japan, Mexico, USA.
The H2Ooooh! Initiative will be presented at the forthcoming international media industry event MIPCOM in Cannes, France, on 3-5 October 2011. This is a unique opportunity to approach broadcasting companies and other potential partners interested in supporting and promoting the initiative and producing/broadcasting the new world series of H2Ooooh! cartoons, so that millions of children can enjoy them.
Pet Pals and the H2Ooooh! initiative will be one of the protagonists of the multimedia permanent exhibition Open UNESCO during the forthcoming General Conference of UNESCO, from 24 October to 11 November 2011, and beyond hopefully. A brief audio-visual description of the project and 2 different series of 4 short cartoons will be visible in two thematic sections of the exhibition dedicated to One Planet/One Ocean and Knowledge Sharing.
