Primera reunión de expertos
Entre las manifestaciones preparadas con motivo del 20° Aniversario del Programa de Memoria del Mundo, tuvo lugar en Varsovia, Polonia, una reunión de expertos, del 8 al 10 de mayo de 2012. Dicha reunión, organizada por la UNESCO y el gobierno polaco, reunió a 50 expertos que cubrieron diferentes áreas geográficas y especializaciones, de las diferentes estructuras del Programa, a nivel internacional, regional y nacional, además de profesionales, profesores, autoridades académicas y representantes nacionales.
