First meeting of the International Forum of Funding Agencies (IFFA) for research in the social sciences
IFFA is a forum for national, publicly-funded social science research councils (or divisions of national councils responsible for the social sciences) to exchange information and best practice, discuss research policy issues of mutual interest, and develop collaborative actions aimed at promoting international social science.
The first meeting of IFFA was held in Ottawa, Canada, on 27-28 September 2007, and was hosted by the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
The second meeting of IFFA will be held during the first half of 2008 and will be organised by SSHRC in collaboration with the ISSC.
