The ISSC participates in the 34th Session of UNESCO’s General Conference

On Monday, 22 October 2007, ISSC Secretary-General, Heide Hackmann, presented a statement to UNESCO’s 34th General Conference on behalf of the ISSC and in place of its president, Gudmund Hernes.

During the General Conference, which runs until 3 November 2007, the Council’s Secretary-General and ISSC Vice-President, Huang Ping, will also attend meetings of the Social and Human Sciences Commission, the Natural Sciences Commission, as well as a Ministerial Roundtable on “Science and Technology for Sustainable Development and the Role of UNESCO”.
