Meeting of ISSC Scientific Programme Coordinators with members of the Executive Committee

On 10 April 2008, the Coordinators of four of the scientific programmes currently (co-) sponsored by the ISSC met with members of the Council’s Executive Committee. The meeting was held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris as part of the Executive Committee’s 107th Session.

The purpose of the meeting was to update ISSC Executive Committee members on new work plans for the programmes and to discuss with programme coordinators the future role of the ISSC as a scientific sponsor.

Programme coordinators present during the meeting included:

• Ellen Pfeiffer (representing Andreas Rechkemmer): International Human Dimensions Programme (IHDP)
• Tom Skauge: Comparative Research Programme on Poverty (CROP)
• Jane Bayes: Gender, Globalisation and Democratisation (GGD)
  
• John Coakley: Research on Ethnic Conflict: Approaches to Peace (RECAP)
