Prof. Klaus Armingeon
Klaus Armingeon is Professor of Political Science at the Institute of Political Science, University of Bern, Switzerland. After his studies in Political Science, East European History and Educational Science he taught at the University of Tübingen, Konstanz, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Innsbruck and at Duke University.
His research is focused on comparative analysis of institutions and processes of economic and social policies.
Klaus Armingeon is Member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Political Research.

Prof. Maurizio Ferrera
Maurizio Ferrera is Professor of Comparative Public Policy at the University of Milan. He is also the President of the Graduate School in Social, Economic and Political Sciences. He formerly taught at the University of Pavia and has been Visiting Professor at several universities, including UC-Berkeley, the LSE, McGill, the Juan March Institute and the European University Institute. He also directs the Research Unit on European Governance (URGE) of the Collegio Carlo Alberto Foundation in Moncalieri (Turin).
His research interests include comparative public policies and European integration, with a special focus on the development, crisis and perspectives of the European welfare state.

Prof. Stein Kuhnle
Stein Kuhnle teaches Comparative Social Policy and Welfare State Reform at the Hertie School of Governance. He has been teaching at the University of Bergen (Norway) as a Professor of Comparative Politics since 1982. He has directed the Department of Comparative Politics for many years.
He currently serves as adjunct professor at the Centre for Welfare State Research at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense. As visiting scholar and professor, he has done research and given seminars at the University of California, Berkeley, the LSE, the European University Institute in Florence, the University of Mannheim and at the Australian National University in Canberra.

Prof. Manfred G. Schmidt
Manfred Schmidt is Dean of the Faculty for Economics and Social Sciences of Heidelberg University. He is Member of the Nomination Committee for the Leibniz-Preis of the German Research Association and Member of the Advisory Board of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies.
His major research fields are political institutions and public policy in the Federal Republic of Germany, comparative public policy and democratic theory.
Manfred Schmidt was awarded the Stein Rokkan Prize in Comparative Social Research in 1981 for his Habilitationsschrift “Wohlfahrtsstaatliche Politik unter bürgerlichen und sozialdemokratischen Regierungen. Ein internationaler Vergleich” and the Leibniz-Preis of the German Research Foundation in 1995 for his work in comparative public policy.
