In the framework of the NWSAS Consultation Mechanism, the OSS organized in its head office on November 18^th and 19^th, 2004 a workshop on "the NWSAS data exchange and administration".

Attended to this workshop, two representative of every country sharing the basin (Algeria, Libya and Tunisia). This workshop permitted to chose the nature and formats of data to exchange between the three countries in the framework of consultation for NWSAS water resources management.

They also discussed convenient modes of information collection and exchange. Some convenient recommendations will be advanced to countries to assure mechanisms of data exchange and to encourage the responsibility of the national entities in charge of this activity
