Earth Resources: Sustaining our Society

©EGNGeoparks
Earth resources include minerals, hydrocarbons, geothermal energy, and water. Increasing population and technological developments as well as our future well-being and development depends on sustainable use of these resources. Exploration of such resources, as well as responsible and sustainable use of them, is of crucial importance to societies around the world. The environmentally responsible exploitation of these resources is a challenge for geoscience research.
